Hi, I’m Prithvi.#
After getting my MS from Wright State University in Ohio, I felt like USA was not really my cup of tea.
I packed my bags, came back to Hyderabad, got married and started pursuing law at Padala Rama Reddi Law College.
2010-2019#
During this time, I built multiple companies including Alkaline Diet India, Vegan Diet India. In 2019, I gave up on veganism and figured out that a low carb keto diet was the best thing for my body. I subsequently closed down these 2 companies.
2020-2026#
During this period, I sent over 2000 students to various universities across the planet including Cambridge, UT Dallas, USC, Columbia University, Ohio State University and many more by helping them with University applications and acing the IELTS.
It was also during this time that I started 1516, a platform for Telugu students to scour up educational opportunities and jobs.
Other things about me#
I love Deep Work. I like to sit down and focus for hours together, this is my superpower. To facilitate Deep Work, I have designed my life around it. I switched my keyboard layout to COLEMAK for maximum productivity and use a mechanical keyboard called Keychron K8 to create the best typing experience.
I switched to a MacBook Pro in 2015 and haven’t looked back since; I am plugged into the Apple ecosystem now. The Universal Clipboard feature alone makes my life 100× easier because I can copy on my computer and paste in my iPhone and vice versa—including images and screenshots.
Other projects I’ve worked on include Unshackled and More Time Everyday by my friend Soundarya.
In 2012, I joined a public speaking club called Hyderabad Toastmasters very close to my house. This place gave me the greatest learning experience in my adult life. I was with Toastmasters for 12 years and visited clubs in 5 countries. I am no longer a Toastmaster but if anyone would like to learn public speaking, I would definitely recommend Toastmasters as a good starting point. It helps you learn how to speak and forges a strong network for you
Giving back#
As a person who’s been on the internet since 1998 (I started with a second-hand Pentium 1 computer with 32MB RAM and 56.6kbps dial-up internet).
I feel like I have an unfair advantage when it comes to leveraging the internet after using it for about 29 years. 1516 is my way of giving back. 1516 is intended to solve the problem of information asymmetry for Telugu students in AP and TG. We file the RTIs, we get the info, we give you clarity that gives you an edge. When people know the process, they will take care of the rest. I just want to put this information out there in front of people.
